Everyone who has been absent from the internet, raise your hand.
I feel like I've been gone for a very long time. And like I've lost contact with pretty much everyone I've met over the internet. Well, I suppose that's to be expected, since I really haven't taken the time to respond to people as I feel I should have. I suppose I can blame Real Life on my being gone for so long, but I do normally find enough time to check everything, so it's really just me being very lazy.
Other unfortunate news includes the progress on both Restitution and White River. They're both...not moving along well. I had wanted to get the next chapter of Restitution out at the end of April, but I was gone for two weeks, which completely knocked me out of my 'write something everyday' plan. So far, there's about 1,000 words written on the chapter, and I just need to sit down and *write* it. I know where it's going, I just haven't bothere to actually put it all together.
I need some inspiration. Like, to have someone draw a very pretty picture of Genma and Shizune.
Anyway, on to Bleach stuff...
I'm just going to say straight off that I liked this chapter. Actually, I pretty much loved it. Obviously, there were a few things that bothered me a little, such as the gag and chains on Orihime, as well as a few rather oddly drawn limbs in a few panels.
But. The characters.
I have to say, I liked the IchiOri reunion in the chapter. It was, well, rather what I expected from both characters, considering the situations that they are both in. Orihime didn't bother me at all and was acting rather, well, not particulary weak and useless. I feel like her character has been fluctuating quite a bit lately, but I really did like her in this chapter.
Also, Nell. Her concern for Ichigo just makes me want to pick her up and hug her, especially with Grimmjow acting so...well, like Grimmjow. I think what makes me like Nell so much is her seemingly genuine concern for Ichigo throughout this arc, even though he is a Shinigami and thus her 'enemy'.
But what really made me love the chapter was Ulquiorra. I was hoping for this sort of set up actually, with him returning to where Orihime has been kept and finding out that Grimmjow was there, and then going off to find out where he went. The angles that KT chose to draw for the scenes with Ulquiorra were very well done, and when he shows up behind Grimmjow in the end...well, for one, Grimmjow looks so incredibly shocked that I feel like something rather huge is going to happen in the next few chapters. The other is that, without anything being noticably different about how he is drawn, Ulquiorra looks incredibly pissed.
I'll just take a moment to sigh over KT's art in general. *sigh* It is simply wonderful.
I'm still waiting for the IchiRuki reunion, of course, but for now, this is making me rather happy. I'm content with the general way that things are going, although I would still like for the whole HM arc to end soon.
